Piano truly is. Im a really big fan of real pianos, but all i have is an electric piano. Its really nice. The keys are heavy just like a real piano. When i was younger i used to get high and play greenday songs on it. Welcome to paradise is really beautiful on piano. You just play the bassline on the left side, then play billies guitar part in arpegios on the right. Get some friends who can do string arangments, and sound like self absorbed blow hards. Ha ha. Me and my ex girlfriend used to do that with teen spirit and about a girl.

Well thats very interesting with the cello tuning. I think the piano is one of the best instruments out there. I know what you mean learning how to play the guitar and violin, I wanna start messing around with the mandolin because one time I picked one up and started fondling with it and had a good response. I used to play violin in third grade and it was weird, so I don't play it anymore.

I used to play electric bass, but I sucked, and my aunt had this old cello, so I taught myself how to play. I've known piano since I was sevin, so I just used the knowledge I gained from that on learning the cello. I tune it like a standard bass though, but theres only a one string difference in tuning. Im learning how to play guitar and violen right now. I want to play folk music, lol. Well, I actullay want to just play instruments to play them. No rockstar aspirations here. I am not good enough.

I suppose, with the type of genre we play, bass is either very simple or very complicated. In my case, I just try not to do the same thing John's doing. What experience have you had with the cello and piano?

Bass is a very powerful instrument. I play cell, kind of. I can also play piano. Not very good, but whatever.
